The Good News and The Bad News...

According to the American Cancer Society statistics for 2004, the top three cancer killers for men are decreasing. They are: lung, colon, and prostate cancer. Two of the top three for women - breast and colon cancer are also on the decline. Lung cancer however, is on the rise for women in the U.S.

The report estimates that 180,000 cases of tobacco-related cancers will be diagnosed in 2004, and 160,000 of them will be from lung cancer. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States next to heart disease. Learn more about lung cancer.
