Cigarettes: What the Warning Label Doesn't Tell You - Information Tobacco Companies Don't Want Teens to Know About Smoking is a new publication aimed directly at teens from the American Council on Science and Health. Common myths about smoking are explored: smoking is cool, smoking won't hurt me until I'm older, everyone smokes, etc. Several chapters are devoted to some of the lesser known ways that smoking damages people, such as how smoking affects your mouth and teeth, eyes, immune system, kidneys and bladder, to name a few. The entire book is available free as a pdf download. An excellent resource for teens and parents who want to help steer their kids away from smoking.
