Twelve Days - Tammy's Quit Smoking Blog

Thursday January 12, 2006
"I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks. Sometimes it feels like it went sooo fast. Keeping busy is essential for my quit, as is exercising and absolutely no alcohol. Alcohol is a BIG NO NO for me. That is when I want one the most.

I've been clearing my throat a lot today. I need to drink more water; it really helps a lot with that. It makes it worse when I drink coffee or diet soda."

Hi all

I quit smoking cold turkey on Septemeber 10th, 12 days ago. I do feel better, food tastes so much better, my horrible cough is going away. My skin looks so much better an there is no more staining on my fingers. A shower feels amazing these days! I have to say, I do miss having a cigarette. But, I know I cannot have even just one. It has been a journey, these last twelve days. I will not become a horrible x smoker. Man, I want one! Will the urge go away?
