I have used Chantix successfully since January 25th and have not smoked. I believe it is the best product I have ever used.

I started taking Chantix on Sept. 28th. I quit smoking Oct 5th. I took the Chantix for about a month, until the nausea was so bad I just couldn’t do it anymore. During that month, I just kept telling myself that continuing to smoke would make me much sicker than Chantix ever would. I haven’t had a cigarette since I quit on October 5th! :-) :-) :-) I smoked about a pack & a half for over 30 years!

I am waiting for the medication assistence program to send my free prescription of chantix. The co. will send it free if you meet a few guidlines. I want to quit but I don’t have the drive to quit. I am looking forward to this working for me. My only brother, only family member left in the world died from COPD on Valentines day last month. I need to quit! I’d like if more people wrote about their experience with this drug. Thanks

I THINK THIS PRODUCT IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER TRIED AND I HAVE TRIED ALOT OF PRODUCTS. IF YOU GET NAUSEA MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMETHING IN YOUR STOMACH BEFORE YOU TAKE IT AND THAT WILL SUBSIDE. I HAVE BEEN OFF CIGS FOR 8 MONTHS AND TOOK CHANTIX FOR 6 MONTHS. I CANT STAND THE SMELL OF CIGERATES ANYMORE. I SMOKES SINCE I WAS 15 AND I’M 45 NOW AND SMOKE FREE AND LOVING IT. I WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PATIENTS TO TRY THIS WHEN IT BECAME AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AND I WOULD VOUCH THAT IT REALLY WORKS. I HAD NO WITHDRAWL SYMPTOMS AND MY HUSBAND DID’NT EVEN KNOW I QUIT WHICH MEANS I DIDNT EVEN GET CRABBY. TRY IT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.

I have been taking Chantix since Nov.4, 2006. I stopped smoking on Nov.11 for 2 weeks, then smoked for a week and then stopped again on Dec. 2. I have not had a cigarette since then. I was a heavy smoker (2.5 packs a day sometimes 3). Chantix is not a miracle drug, you still have to want to quit smoking. But it is the best quit aid that I have tried. I really did not realize how bad smoking and smokers stink. I can smell someone across the room if they come back in from smoking a cigarette now. The thought that I used to be that person is disgusting. I have not had any of the side effects except maybe some excess gas. I would recommend Chantix to anyone who wants to stop smoking.

I started using Chantix about 8 weeks ago. After week 1, I realized I just wasnt thinking about cigarettes much and they tasted bad. I could actually go all day at work without one. After week 2, I just had 1 in the evening, week 3 I finally said why bother. Haven’t had one since. It is pretty amazing, you can quit without getting fat too. The last time I quit, using the patch, I gained about 35 pounds. I started smoking again after 1 year to take the weight off.

I used Chantix to quit smoking over 8 months ago. It made my quitting SO much more doable! It’s not a magic bullet, as you need to want to quit. I was a very heavy smoker for 30+ years. With my determination and Chantix I am now smoke-free! I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to quit. My insurance paid for it, but even if it had not – the $100 is still cheaper than smoking!

Love it. I quit after 17 years and smoking thru my pregnancies… Never could do it before, trust me.. I tried.
I had several blood clots and was told it was my time to quit. I didn’t want to, but hearing about this drug, I thought I will try it. Never thought I would do it! No cravings since! I had trouble while I was bored, re-programming. SUGGESTION- B4 quiting, stop smoking in your car, or right before bed. That way when you cold turkey, you dont associate car and sleep with smoking. It may help ya! Chew gum and tell yourself that day 2 is easier. Then day 3.. and so on! I use the money I spent on smoking to buy stuff.. money I never had before. :)

I was a smoker for 10 years, 1 pack a day. I have a stressful work and family issues. I took the prescription and I thought it is expensive so didnt buy it. A drug store closed next door, another drug store offered discount if anyone transferred. I went and got my pills. Ammazzzzzing! Clean the upholstry of your car if you smoke in your car. Get all cloths washed, carpet shampooed. Exhausted all cigarretts before quit date. Drew 50 mosquitoes in a paper. First day, felt some nausia. As per the directions, took the pill after food. with atleast 8 ounces of water. First day I got about 6 slight cravings. waited for 5 min and when the cravings are gone(It did every time, just distracted my mind), I took the paper and swat one mosquito. I am on week 12, still have 32 mosquitoes left. The cravings have become very dealable – just like I want to have some good cookie. I hangaround with smokers, no big deal. I am a hero ! I am on my way to get another set of pills. Never gotten this easy !

I took Chantix for a little over 2 weeks. During that time, I started experiencing painful swelling of my hands and arms (at least up to my elbows). When I first wake up in the mornings, my fingers and hands and wrists are so stiff and sore, I can hardly move. Sometimes my toes hurt. I have been to my GP, Endocrinologist, and now a neurologist. None of the tests have shown anything. I stopped the Chantix two weeks ago. The neurologist said if the Chantix caused it I should see some improvement soon. Has anyone else had these side effects??

I began using Chantix on Thanksgiving Day, 2007 and quit smoking on my birthday, December 5th. I have not looked back. Sure, I had some side effects; nausea IF I didn’t eat enough and vivid dreams ”no nightmares”. I

I quit smoking on March 1st with Chantix. Best decision I ever made. I didn’t have bad withdrawal symptoms. I did have a few of the side effects, but nothing that made me stop. I cut the dosage and all was well. You definately have to want to quit and want to stay a quitter. I know that if I picked up a cigarette today, I’d be a smoker again, but I no longer need to light up. I can refuse it without panicking. Chantix worked great.

(14) Robert says:

The only time I got nausea with Chantix was when I had an empty stomach when I took it. As soon as I ate it would go away. Of course, it says it right on the package and I am sure my doctor told me to eat when I took it but that’s me. Anyway I have only been off cigs for 3 weeks but believe me that is an accomplishment. I love it. You HAVE to have a quit date and stick to it. Once you get over the “habit” part the pills take care of the addiction part. It really does work.
