5 Years Smoke-Free!

Saturday March 22, 2008
When we quit smoking, it's only natural to wonder how it feels to be years away from the habit that held us so tightly for so long. I've chosen three inspirational accounts from people who have reached 5 years smoke-free. Let their words fuel the fire in your belly to quit smoking, once and for all. Life works better without cigarettes, and freedom from nicotine addiction is truly a gift beyond compare.

5 Years - Dee's Perspective

"In our world of cessation five years can seem light years away, an eternity, especially when you’re a stressed out newbie trying to make it through another day, one hour or even one minute at a time. The past five years for me has meant five years of freedom. Five years of gratitude. Five years of living the abundant smoke-free life which I was meant to live."

5 Smoke-Free Years Today!

"After spending more than half my life obsessing about smoking, quitting smoking, not quitting smoking, smoking again, fear of smoking consequences, heck, every aspect of smoking, smoking is finally out of my life. Unbelievable! And there lies the answer to every newbie’s question – Does it ever get better? It not only gets better, like Elvis, it leaves the building."

5 Years Looks Great on Me!

"Have you ever thought how much time you wasted every day smoking? I smoked at least 20 cigarettes a day, that's nearly 3 1/2 hours WASTED every single day. Do you know what you can do in that amount of time? The possibilities are endless! Everyone always talks about how much money they save by quitting, why not think about the amount of life you can put back into living?"
