November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

According to the National Cancer Institute, an estimated 228,190 new cases of lung cancer will be diagnosed during 2013 in the United States.  Of that number, 159,480 people are expected to lose their lives to the disease.

Cigarette smoking is by far the biggest risk factor for lung cancer, making it also the most preventable type of cancer in the world today.
