Secondhand Smoke

Definition:
Secondhand smoke is the term used to describe tobacco smoke that comes from two sources:
  • smoke that is exhaled by the smoker after puffing on a lit cigarette (mainstream smoke)
Secondhand smoke contains upwards of 4000 chemicals, including 200 known poisonous chemicals, and 60 carcinogenic chemical compounds.
