How nicotine withdrawal affected me
I was very edgy and my whole body felt like I had a very bad cold and that I was not going to make it.
How I managed nicotine withdrawal symptoms
When the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal came, I just started walking or exercising, and doing a lot of deep breathing. Having hard candy or fruit snacks in my mouth helped also. I just took it one step at a time, telling myself I could do this and drinking water all day.
Lessons learned
- That I did this to my body by smoking, and that my body is healing with very nicotine withdrawal, and to remind myself not to ever smoke another cigarette.
