Bupropion, better known as Zyban or Wellbutrin, is a nicotine-free smoking cessation aid. It has been shown to dramatically reduce cravings for nicotine. Available by prescription only, it is important to use this drug exactly as your doctor instructs. Bupropion seems to work best when used in combination with another nicotine replacement therapy such as the nicotine patch or gum.
