Definition:
Dyspnea is a term used to describe difficult breathing. It's often associated with lung diseases such as emphysema or COPD, and the breathlessness that can be a symptom of heart disease. It is not however, used only in reference to specific medical conditions - it may be used to describe the shortness of breath that can occur due to exercise, for instance.
